Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be fit to learn capoeira?
No, you do not have to be fit to learn capoeira. Physical conditioning and flexibility will come with time and practice in capoeira. The more you train, the quicker you will see results and get into shape. You don't need to be in shape to start training.

What do I bring to class?
If it is your first time, wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. You may want to bring a water bottle to hydrate yourself throughout the class and a towel. Should you decide to sign up, we have uniforms available for purchase.
How long do I have to train to see results?
"This really depends on your own personal goals. Think of it as learning a new language. The more of the language you learn, the more clearly you can express yourself to others. If your goal is to have a conversation with someone that consists of, "Hi, how are you?" and "I am fine, thank you.", you should be able to do that within a month or two. If you plan to discuss world politics or philosophy, be prepared to spend more time learning the language." – Mestre Mindinho
How often should I train?
Your commitment to capoeira will depend on what you want to get out of capoeira. Most of our students train from 1-4 times per week.
What are the benefits of capoeira?
